The housing market is revving up and gaining strength in some parts of the country. Average US home prices rose 1.3 percent in the third quarter ? the biggest quarterly gain since 2006, according to the third quarter Zillow Real Estate Market Reports.I don't get excited about rising home prices the way I do about declining unemployment, but that's probably because I don't own, but rent instead, and the Dems will ultimately be judged based on the improving employment rate since we're already crushing it in foreign policy.

The needle is definitely moving, folks. ?We are going to start "feeling it" within the next year or so, and I'm hopeful that it will be a crash wave of fresh economic goodness right as the country expands its commitment to civil liberties (e.g., gay marriage equality passes the SCOTUS test) and the social contract (e.g., Obamacare kicks in at full steam in 2014).
