JOB DETAILS: POSITION: Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science
The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for a Tenure-Track position in Mathematics at the rank of
Assistant Professor. The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science consists of seven full-time faculty and more than 100 undergraduate
students seeking majors in Mathematics, Discrete Applied Mathematics, Mathematics Education, and Computer Science along with minors in those
disciplines and Information Technology. Additional information about the Department can be found at

DUTIES:
- Teaching undergraduate classes as assigned by the department
chair
- Engaging in scholarly activities
- Maintaining an active research agenda
- Serving on departmental and
university-wide committees
- Advising undergraduates
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Earned Doctorate in
Mathematics or Mathematics Education by August 2013
- University-level teaching experience
- Evidence of potential for
excellence in undergraduate teaching
- Evidence of active research
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
- Experience in
university-level curriculum development
- Research activity in discrete mathematics, algebra, or related fields
- Coursework
or professional experience in software development, computer programming, or theoretical computer science
